Bisexualīisexual people are attracted to both men and women, and make up 0.7 per cent of the UK population.ĭesigned by Michael Page in 1998, the bisexual pride flag is made up of 40 per cent pink and blue stripes, and 20 per cent purple. The flag not only pays tribute to BAME people in the world, but is designed to highlight the disproportionate level of discrimination non-white people face.Īccording to research carried out by Stonewall, in the UK alone, more than half (51 per cent) of BAME people face discrimination within the LGBTQ+ community.
